Achieving optimal galvanizing results of steel structures depends to a large extent on the way they are designed and made. Elements intended for galvanizing should have such a shape that will allow the bath to reach any galvanized surface and then to drain freely.
While designing the construction the following aspects need to be considered:
- the size of the galvanizing kettle (working dimensions)all thermal consequences,
- individual features of the construction to be galvanized,
- predicted methods of fitting the galvanized structure,
- the surface condition of steel elements before galvanizing.
Details regarding norms to follow while designing are included in the PN- EN ISO 14713 norm.
